THE TIDINGS - January 2025

WHEN THE WHEATER IS BAD: Check the voice mail message at (417) 881-0833 and/or PoP's Facebook page and/or PoP's webpage when inclement weather could impact worship or events planned at the church.

JANUARY 11/12 NOISY OFFERING will be designated for Rev. Bradn Buerkle, a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America serving through the Evangelical Lutheran Mission of Lower Saxony (ELM) in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Russia. He oversees an educational project entitled “Equipping for Service.”

WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY led by Dave Jahnke begins January 8 at 10:00 am. The study guide is “PARABLES: the Greatest Stories Ever Told” by John White. This will be a twelve-week study concluding on March 26. 

TUESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY resumes January 14, 6:30 pm. Plans are to begin a study of the Book of Romans. The publisher of the Study Guide (NavPress) describes it like this: "In Romans, Paul sets out to answer the question, 'What does Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection mean for my life, death, and resurrection?'

PoP VETERANS' GROUP will meet Thursday, January 16 at Scrambler’s on East Republic at 9:00 a.m.
